For the first time, a fast-track test systemfor legionella is now available with the iDx LegioTest 1.0. The system delivers exact results of a possible legionella infestation in process water within 45 minutes – and can be carried out by the respective companies themselves without trained laboratory personnel and laboratory equipment. Operators of industrial plants, laboratories and other institutions are now in a position to promptly eliminate possible contamination and prevent further outbreaks. Using a new microfluidics-based system, a detection limit of 9,500 CFU/100ml of Legionella is possible with the iDx LegioTest 1.0.
