Farmers’ protests in quite a few Member States may have hastened the process of setting up a ‘strategic dialogue on agriculture’ format, but the invitation list, with a wide range of NGOs and only a few EU umbrella organisations of the food chain, i.e., the farming sector and their processors, would have certainly deserved a more thoughtful approach.
