Cibus Tec Forum, the biennial event organised by Koeln Parma Exhibition (KPE) – a joint venture between Koelnmesse and Fiere di Parma scheduled to take place in the heart of Italy’s Food Valley from October 28th–29th 2025, has announced a strategic new partnership with OnFoods. This important systemic collaboration connects a key event – recognised as a leading meeting point for food and beverage technology and innovation – with Italy’s largest food research ecosystem, created with the support of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and composed of 26 partner organisations including universities, research centres, companies, and institutions.
The agreement has a clear objective: to create moments of sharing and updates on sustainable innovation and to foster the promotion of healthier, traceable, inclusive, and competitive production models, with a positive impact on the entire food system.
OnFoods is an active partnership in major areas of food research – from nutritional quality to food safety, from supply chain sustainability to process innovation – and is structured into seven major thematic research groups (called Spokes): true centres of excellence in personalised nutrition, food quality and safety, sustainable food systems, circular economy, digital and robotic technologies, food education, and supply chain innovation. At Cibus Tec Forum 2025, OnFoods will contribute scientific content, concrete projects, and technology transfer opportunities, creating high-value connections between academia and industry.
In turn, Cibus Tec Forum 2025 will offer OnFoods a high-profile visibility and networking platform, directly connecting research leaders with top Italian and international food and food-tech companies. This agreement marks the first in a series of initiatives designed to bring together under the Cibus Tec Forum banner significant scientific content and activities for the agri-food and food-tech communities. This approach is a key element of the 2025 edition of Cibus Tec Forum and a major attraction for the many professionals expected to attend.
Under the banner ‘Two days to reimagine Food Tec’, the event reaffirms itself as an innovative and functional exhibition-conference, created to stimulate meaningful dialogue between innovation, industry, and technologies. Two dynamic days, designed to provide exhibitors and visitors with a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and training on key topics such as advanced equipment, automation and robotics, food safety, process digitalisation, sustainable packaging, and innovative ingredients and formulations.
The 2025 edition will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of Cibus, the renowned trade fair dedicated to the Authentic Italian Food & Beverage sector, with a rich program of events inside and outside the fairgrounds, highlighting the growing convergence between production technologies and the Italian agri-food industry.
