Di Henderson appointed as new General manager

Somerdale International has announced the appointment of Di Henderson as its new General Manager.   She joins the business having spent the last 15 years in Sydney, Australia working with Mayers Fine Food, Somerdale’s Australian distributor.

In her new role, Henderson will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that strategic goals are achieved and that the business continues to deliver financially, commercially and operationally.  She will also act as a link between Somerdale and its parent company Barbers, the renowned Somerset Farmhouse Cheesemaker, that acquired the business in 2023.

Henderson joins at an exciting time of growth and development for the business based in Wellington, Somerset.  Having enjoyed a strong 2025 from a trading perspective, the company’s plans for 2026 are already well advanced with a range of taste bud tantalising NPD launches in the pipeline.   While, the installation of new, state-of-the-art, refrigerated warehousing, currently underway, will significantly increase the capacity and capabilities of its main distribution hub.
