Europe’s biggest processed cheese facility to start in August

St. Paul is investing 75 million euros in a new processed cheese factory. This will be built on the factory’s current site in St. Jansteen, Zeeland. With a production capacity of over 100 million kilos per year and 30 tonnes of cheese per hour, this will be the largest processed cheese factory in Europe, featuring, amongst other things, automated production lines, an innovation and research centre, new head office, a water treatment plant and a steam boiler house.

The entire production process will be centrally controlled at the new factory. The company is committed to achieving the highest possible level of automation, supported by artificial intelligence, sophisticated recipes and optimised processes. St. Paul will soon be able to produce a wide range of functional cheese solutions and innovative hybrid products for the international food industry.
