SOMIC Packaging at PACK EXPO International 2026

SOMIC Packaging, Inc. will showcase innovative machine series across multiple performance ranges at PACK EXPO International 2026, taking place October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Headquartered in Minnesota, SOMIC is one of North America’s leading manufacturers of end-of-line packaging machines and will showcase the renowned SOMIC 434, the new SOMIC 202, and the Digital Services SOMIC Eagle and SOMIC Connect.

Since its debut three years ago, the SOMIC 434 machine series has set new standards in end-of-line packaging: up to 32 cycles per minute, a virtually unlimited variety of formats, and flexible configurations as tray, wraparound, or tray/cover packers. Optionally, both one piece and multi-piece carton packages can be produced on a single machine. Extensive automatic format adjustments minimize changeover times and increase production availability and efficiency.

With the SOMIC 202, SOMIC is introducing a compact cartoning machine for standard packaging tasks to the U.S. market for the first time—a machine that is also suitable as an entry-level solution for automated end-of-line packaging. The machine processes Regular Slotted Cartons (RSC) or flat, one-piece tray or wraparound blanks at a rate of up to 20 cartons per minute and offers solid SOMIC quality in a very compact footprint. Both machines will be demonstrated live at the booth.

In addition, SOMIC will showcase its new Digital Services, ‘SOMIC Eagle’ and ‘SOMIC Connect’. SOMIC Eagle is a multi-camera system with time-stamped video clips designed to clearly identify causes and simplify troubleshooting. SOMIC Connect supplements this with additional diagnostic data and makes the collected information available via a secure email server—for faster problem-solving and higher system availability.
