BMi report 14.7% sales growth

BMi reports turnover of €667.2 million for 2025 (+14.7%), of which 59% was generated by the Cheese business unit, 39% by the Ingredients division and 2% by Fresh Products and Services. More than half of BMi’s turnover (55%) was generated outside Germany.
In addition to cheese, whey proteins in particular saw high demand, especially in the USA, South-East Asia and China. In the Cheese division, BMi recorded a 7% increase in turnover, whilst the Ingredients business unit saw a rise of as much as 32%.

BMi invested €17.9 million in the technical and structural development of its sites to optimise production processes and expand capacity. The focus was on the Zapfendorf site, where planning work for production technology, buildings and technical equipment was taken forward.
At the Jessen site, the focus was on measures to increase efficiency and further improve product quality. At the Winzer plant, BMi has responded to the rising demand for demineralised whey powder, particularly in organic quality. Capacities for demineralisation are being expanded and an existing drying tower is being replaced by a new plant.
