Danone is converting its dairy plant in Villecomtal-sur-Arros, France, to the production of dairy substitute products under the Alpro brand. An investment of €49m is being made. Conversion work is scheduled to begin in autumn 2022, with production starting in the 2nd quarter of 2023.
Danone has already invested €17m in Alpro production capacities at the Issenheim (France) plant this year.
