“Health & Nutrition” turns into “Logika Moloka”

The leading Russian producer of dairy products and baby food, formerly part of the Danone Group, has announced a complete rebranding to mark what the company says is the final phase of localisation.

Danone had announced its intention to leave Russia after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The following year, the Kremlin temporarily seized the company’s assets and appointed former Chechen official Ruslan Alisultanov as the company’s CEO. This was followed relatively quickly by the sale of the “Essential Dairy and Plant-based” division to a company based in Tatarstan. Now the provisional name “Health & Nutrition” is being replaced by “Logika Moloka” (translated: “Milk Logic”). “The new name emphasises the special quality of milk: it doesn’t need complex formulas to be healthy and tasty,” says Logika Moloka on its new website. CEO Yakub Zakriyev said the name change reflects the view of the dairy industry as a “streamlined and logical system in which everything is thought through down to the smallest detail”. Milk Logic’s new company logo features a stylised green drop of milk with the Cyrillic initials “L” and “M” representing the new brand name. According to the company, the colour green was chosen to symbolise nature, harmony and sustainability.
