As part of a further restructuring of the activities FrieslandCampina will terminate the Dairy Essentials division. Instead of Dairy Essentials there will be two new business units: FrieslandCampina Professional and FrieslandCampina Trading. The aim is to optimise the business structure and reduce overhead costs. FrieslandCampina Professional will be responsible for all B2B activities (out-of-home and foodservice). Subsequently, the Food & Beverage activities of the Ingredients business group will be transferred to FrieslandCampina Professional.
In 2021 Dairy Essentials will be transformed into a specialised trading company, FrieslandCampina Trading. The focus will be on trading bulk dairy products such as butter, cheese and milk powder. Zijerveld Kaas in Bodegraven will be merged with the other cheese activities in the Consumer Dairy Business Group. A “strategic partner” is being sought for the animal feed activities.
