Initiative for UK convenience retailers

Müller Yogurt & Desserts has launched a new initiative for UK convenience retailers to help tap into the growing dairy drinks category. Dairy drinks currently account for £700 million in annual sales in the UK (up 11% year-on-year), with 219 million bottles sold in convenience stores each year. However, the findings show that there are significant opportunities for retailers to increase effectiveness by making some simple changes and updates to their shops. It’s all about stocking the right range. Müller, as part of its ‘Make Pots of Profit’ advice toolkit, has created new shelf guides that retailers can use depending on the size of their shop.

Research shows that convenience stores selling ready-to-drink milkshakes, including takeaway milkshakes, have an opportunity of £20 million extra sales per year. Retailers can visit the Müller website makepotsofprofit.co.uk to download the right milkshake planogram for their shop.
