The Bavarian dairy farmers association VMB criticised the recent retail price cut for Mozzarella as illogical. With effect from 25 May, t discount retailers have started to reduce the prices for Mozzarella of their own brands. The standard product in the 125 g package has been reduced from 69c to 59c. For the milk producers, the influence on milk prices via this recycling will probably be limited. But according to VMB this is a fatal signal.
