Saputo Dairy UK and Hochland Deutschland GmbH have agreed on a long-term, exclusive partnership for the CHATEDRAL CITY cheddar brand in Germany and Austria. Hochland will take over responsibility for the CATHEDRAL CITY brand on the German and Austrian markets on 1 January 2022 and will expand distribution nationally in both countries as well as further develop the brand.
In its country of origin, Great Britain, CATHEDRAL CITY is by far the largest Cheddar brand. The brand has also gained a foothold in Germany and Austria and is popular among connoisseurs with its typical profile. With Hochland, the Canadian-British company has a strong partner at its side for establishing the brand in the German and Austrian markets, who has many years of experience and know-how in production, marketing, customer development and sales of the Yellow Line.
