Two innovations, the SOMIC 434 generation of packaging machines and the CORAS collecting and grouping system, were very well received at the SOMIC booth at interpack. The end of line packaging specialists showed solutions for even greater flexibility in end of line packaging to users in the food, non-food, cosmetics and pet food industries.
“We received excellent feedback at interpack. Of course, we are particularly pleased with the great interest in the CORAS collection and grouping system. With this solution for collecting, grouping and orientating we have adopted a completely new concept using planar technology. All of our conversations have confirmed that this solution perfectly meets the practical requirements of secondary packaging,” concludes Ralf Jäckel, Director Sales Europe.

The team that presented the new 434 machine generation for wraparound and tray cover packaging in a modular concept is equally satisfied. The new development, which is based on a linear arrangement from the forming module to the closing module, bundles numerous real-life requirements for the line concepts of filling and packaging lines. In Addition to flexibility, the new packaging machine offers yet another benefit in terms of user-friendliness: The automatic format changeover in combination with the SOMIC QuickChange system means a time saving for the operator of up to 70% compared to the predecessor model.
