Westland Kaas names Spits new CEO

The Supervisory Board of Westland Kaas, the company behind cheese brands such as Old Amsterdam, Maaslander and Trenta, has appointed Murk Spits as the company’s CEO with effect from 18 May. He succeeds Ronald van Zetten, who is stepping down after four years.

Spits has more than 25 years of international management and leadership experience in the food and beverage industry. At Heineken, he held various management positions both at home and abroad, including roles on the executive board in the Netherlands and in Asia.
