Moscow region to become a dairy hotspot

The Moscow Region, which produced around 700,000 tonnes of raw milk in 2025, is set to become a new centre for dairy farming in Russia over the coming years, thanks to the planned construction of several large dairy farms within its boundaries. During the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) – an annual economic event – agreements were signed for the construction of at least three large farms with a total capacity of 5,700 cows and a gross milk yield of 39,000 tonnes per year.
