Austria: Crazy Cheese bust

Insolvency proceedings have been opened against two companies owned by internet star Roland Ludomirska. The companies affected are Crazy Cheese Manufacture Holding GmbH and MRL Crazy Cheese Manufacture W GmbH, based in Hart near Graz. There are no plans to continue the companies’ operations, and business activities have already been suspended. Ludomirska described himself online as a millionaire and gained a large following, particularly on Instagram.

According to the Credit Protection Association, all of the group’s sites have been closed. By the end, no staff were employed. A total of 32 creditors are currently affected by the insolvency proceedings.

According to the available information, the holding company has assets of around €24,000, against liabilities of approximately €191,000. At MRL Crazy Cheese Manufacture W GmbH, assets amount to around €8,000, whilst liabilities are reported at around €167,000. The business concept involved the sale of high-priced cheese accompanied by highly eye-catching marketing campaigns. For example, Ludomirska travelled to a reality TV show by helicopter, accompanied by a butler.
