Costa Rican dairy cooperative Cooperativa de Productores de Leche Dos Pinos uses AI to check the labelling on its products. To this end, an AI Inspector was designed in Microsoft Copilot Studio to compare packaging labels with internal technical data sheets and flag any discrepancies before designs for packaging labels or printed packaging leave the premises.
Dos Pinos has already deployed a total of around 80 AI agents across various areas, ranging from packaging checks and the drafting of legal texts to risk assessment and customer support. In addition, an ‘AI Ambassador’ programme has been launched to empower staff across all departments to develop their own AI agents.
Dos Pinos, based in Alajuela, Costa Rica, employs around 6,000 people and operates in the fields of milk production, processing, packaging, agro-industrial services, logistics and retail. The milk – around 1.3m litres per day – comes from some 1,500 member farms. Dos Pinos is one of the largest dairies in Central and South America.
