Less milk in Argentina

Date: 04.09.2024Source: DIN

Argentinian milk production totalled 941 million litres in July, down 4.8% on the previous month. Over the year to date, this represents a drop of 11.7%. Rising milk prices are being ‘overtaken’ by galloping inflation, and consumption of Mopro has fallen sharply. Overall, sales of Mopro fell by 14% year-on-year in June, while sales of liquid milk fell by 17% in the first six months of this year. Cheese sales fell by 8.8% in this period.
