Saputo Inc. reported its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, which ended on June 30, 2026. Revenues of CAN$4.421bn, up $65m or 1.5%, were mainly driven by higher dairy ingredient market prices, volume growth of high-protein ingredients, and higher selling prices implemented to mitigate inflationary pressures.
Saputo report adjusted EBITDA of $427m, up $30m or 7.6%, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 9.7%, up from 9.1%. Net earnings totalled $3m, down $162m. The decrease in net earnings was mainly due to a loss from discontinued operations due to the loss on disposal of discontinued operations after income taxes. The Company received proceeds of approximately $710m, representing approximately $612m after tax, from the sale of its 80% interest in the Dairy Division Argentina.
