Weekly GB milk production is now running behind year-earlier levels, with three consecutive weeks of slowdown. Latest AHDB data put the most recent week (ending May 9) down 0.4% from last year, but 0.1% up on the week before as peak flush was reached. This followed year-on-year declines of 0.7% and 0.6% for the two previous weeks. Following rainfall in recent days, a hot weather spell is now forecast for the UK.
