A drone attack on 5 June caused significant damage to the administration building of the Ukrainian baby food factory “Yagotynsky for Children IMF”, 24 km east of Kyiv. Four employees were killed in the attack, while others were buried under the rubble. The factory, operated by JSC Milk Alliance, opened in 2012 and is considered “state-of-the-art”. The factory produces purées, cereal products, milk, yoghurt and quark, and is estimated to supply almost half of all baby food products in the country. The company states that production at the factory will be suspended until July and hopes that consumer demand can be met by stocks already in the supply chain, although perishable products may not be available.
