The global market for systems used in the production of microfiltered milk

According to IndexBox, the global market for process systems used in the production of microfiltered milk is entering a phase of sustained growth, with forecasts for the period from 2026 to 2035 predicting an average annual growth rate of 7–9%. This trend is supported by structural shifts in global milk consumption toward ESL products. Integrated system configurations, including automation and digital monitoring modules, will account for 55–65% of the market value in 2026, while consumables and spare parts will take up a growing share as installed systems mature.

Europe accounts for approximately 35–40% of global demand, supported by concentrated dairy processing capacities and strict regulatory standards. The Asia-Pacific region is projected to see the highest growth at 9–11% annually, driven by the rapid expansion of dairy infrastructure in China, India, and Southeast Asia. The adoption of multi-stage microfiltration configurations is accelerating, with ceramic membranes gaining market share over polymer alternatives due to their longer service life and higher flow consistency.
