DIN Conference 2024

Date: 08.03.2024Source: DIN

This year’s Dairy Industry Newsletter conference will be held again in London on May 9 and 10. Once again there is a stellar line-up of speakers, a tribute to the long history and international reputation of the conference.
Brexit was a game-changer. Then came the pandemic. And then the war in Ukraine. All have taken a heavy toll on agriculture, creating tumultuous and volatile markets – but as always there’s opportunity to be seized as well as change to be embraced. Amid growing political aggression, demand has weakened but supply could be among the greatest challenges for dairy in the next five years. Food security is rising on the agenda, but dairy companies face new challenges in the supply chain, and in supporting their farmers in the drive towards mitigating climate change and meeting expectation. These are the questions the conference will address: Who will be willing to pay extra and how much will they pay for it? How will supply, prices and trade evolve this year? What part will developing countries play? Most of all, how will dairy businesses survive and thrive?
