Barcelona Packaging Hub is an association of companies specialized in the packaging sector, working closely together to offer innovative and high quality solutions for packaging. Barcelona Packaging Hub’s technology partners are key players in its collaboration strategy, in this case: B&R, Copadata, Hepcomotion and Schneider Electric, will participate in the Advanced Factories fair as featured exhibitors.
Advanced Factories is one of the most important events in the field of industrial automation, robotics and digital manufacturing and will take place from April 18th to 20th, at the Fira de Barcelona – Gran Via, where visitors will be able to learn first-hand about the latest technological innovations and establish business relationships with leading companies in the sector.
Technology partners are companies specialised in advanced technology that work together with Barcelona Packaging Hub associates to consolidate their leadership in the packaging sector. Solutions ranging from production process automation to collaborative robotics in packaging will be demonstrated at the trade fair.
B&R will present at stand #D436, a demo in which the ACOPOS 6D machinery will be performing tasks of transporting products for code reading through a Smart Camera. This demonstration allows the validation of identification, position and product traceability by reading codes typical of industries as demanding as the pharmaceutical industry.
Copadata will be present at stand #AF2023. One of the solutions presented at Advanced Factories will be modular production. The growing demand for customized solutions and small batches is leading to ever shorter production and innovation cycles. This production strategy offers numerous advantages, such as a high innovation capacity and a 40% reduction in production costs. In addition, it enables the lead time to be shortened by 50% and offers maximum flexibility in plant utilization. Hepcomotion, will be present at stand #6B257, where it will showcase a selection of its specialised products for industrial automation. Among the products will be the GFX Agile, a faster and lighter variant of the standard GFX guide system for Beckhoff’s XTS conveyor system. Visitors will also be able to see the self-adjusting carriages, which allow easy mounting on the slides and are factory-set for optimum preload, eliminating the need for adjustment and setup.
Schneider Electric will present at stand #6C404 with its Lexium MC12 Multicarrier and Lexium Cobot technology. The companys Lexium MC12 Multicarrier offers greater control and flexibility in production processes in the packaging industry, which translates into increased efficiency and quality of the final products. In addition, Schneider Electric’s Lexium Cobot offers a complete range of 5 robots to cover the main applications in the market.
